Prayer Indulgences

On November 13, 1923 the Knights of St. John International recieved from his His Holiness Pope Pius XI these indulgence prayers when a Military Order Knight dons his uniform and chapeau.  The Knights of St. John International takes great pride in being the only Roman Catholic Semi-Military Order in the United States to have been granted an indulgence from a Holy Father.  These indulgences can only be gained with a contrite heart.  An indulgence is a remission of punishment still due for a sin after the guilt has been forgiven.

Every time a Knight dons his uniform and recites the prayer:

" Cloth me O' Lord a new man who is created is justice and truth."

   300 Days Indulgence.

Every time a Knight dons his chapeau and recites the prayer:

" Place O' Lord upon my head the Helmet of Salvation that I may overcome the assaults of Satan. "

   300 Days Indulgence.
