Commandery No. 382's Military Order presently contains over 50 Uniformed Knights who wear the Knights of St. John International 1880's military uniform.  The  Uniformed Knights will elect a Commander (Captain), 1st Vice Commander (1st Lieutenant) and 2nd Vice Commander (2nd Lieutenant) during scheduled elections.  After elections; the Commander will promote and/or appoint a 1st Sergeant, two Color Sergeants, one Quarter Master Sergeant, four Sergeants and eight Corporals who will assist in training and forming the Commandery when in parade.  The Commander is responsible for training the Uniformed Knights during quarterly "Schools of the Knight".  During the "Schools of the Knight", Knights recieve instruction in close order drill, formation drill and Manual of the Sword.  The Knights of St. John International, 1960 Drill Regulations Manual is utilized during these instructional periods.  Working in close harmony with our parish pastor and Spiritual Advisor the Commander will schedule turnouts for Uniformed Knights during selected liturgical events.  The turnouts consist of providing a processional honor guard for the celebrant during Holy Days of Obligation masses, 1st Communions, Confirmations, as a sentinel for the Holy Eucharist during Holy Thursday and providing funeral honors for deceased Knights and clergy.
