Each year Commandery No. 382's Civil Order Board of Directors and Military Order Officers will convene a "Awards Committee" to nominate a Commandery No. 382 Knight as the previous year's "Knight of Distinction".  The Committee nominates a Knight that through their personal actions has professed the virtues of Roman Catholism (FAITH, HOPE & CHARITY) and the principles of the Order.
