DEGREES OF KNIGHTHOOD

1st DEGREE EXEMPLIFICATION OF KNIGHTHOOD:

Exemplified upon a Roman Catholic man when he joins a Local Commandery in a Roman Catholic parish.

2nd & 3rd DEGREE EXEMPLIFICATION OF KNIGHTHOOD:

Exemplified upon Uniformed and Non-Uniformed Knights after having completed six months of faithful service to the Order.

4th DEGREE EXEMPLIFICATION / ORDER OF CHEVALIERS:

Exemplified upon Uniformed Knights when the degree is offered and having maintained faithful service to the Order.
Upon exemplification a Uniformed Knight of the 2nd Regiment of Buffalo, New York joins the ranks of the "Order of Chevaliers, Chapter No. 2" and as such can attend meetings, present motions, vote on motions and seek election into the Board of Directors. www.orderofchevaliersno2.webs.com

5th DEGREE EXEMPLIFICATION / NOBLE DEGREE:

Exemplified upon a Non-Uniformed / Brother Knight after having completed fifteen years of faithful service to the Order.
Exemplified upon a Uniformed Knight after having completed ten years of faithful service to the Order.
The Knights of St. John International is accorded the honor by the Roman Catholic Church to receive the 5th Dgree Exemplification within the sanctuary of the church. No other semi-military order is accorded this honor within the United States.
The Exemplification will occur within the Diocese's Cathedral with a Bishop as the celebrant conferring the accolades of Knighthood upon a Knight.
Upon exemplification the Knight joins the ranks of the "Buffalo Temple Noble and Exalted Degree of the Holy Cross".
